Strange times

My son, who is nine, just read an opinion piece (but really a treatise) on the extinction of pandas in Spanish.

On the one hand, I have to ask myself if this is real life. On the other, I did send my kid to a bilingual school, so.... what exactly did I expect?

This, I guess! I parent failed twice this week and it’s hard not to get down on yourself. But right now, I’m not thinking about that or about how he had too much screen time or how or how I caught him eating those crazy addictive Annie’s bunny snacks for breakfast.

This kid has made me so proud, so I think I can hit the hard reset on the score and call this week a wash.
