I’ve been part of a really positive biking community and a super kick ass biking team for the last few years, but as part of my 2022 goals, I’ve decided that I want to make strength training easier.
The work itself is hard, but the planning doesn’t have to be. I heard nice things about a Peloton group called Hard Core on the Floor and joined last week. It’s great! But honestly, the best part is that people are so supportive. Folks have been posting before and after pictures all day, and it’s giving me all the smiles.
A girl who definitely doesn’t fit the standard definition of beauty posted a photo of herself. She was big around the middle, but shit… that girl had some mad definition in her arms and back. And damn… I was impressed. And so was everyone else. It was such a fun moment to read all of the comments.
Because, what’s more inspirational? Real people posting real pictures of their imperfect but strong bodies? Or, whatever work of Photoshop is being splashed across social media?
I know which one I’m choosing. :)
To strength, folks.
