Being a writer
If I want to be a writer, I need to spend time writing.
I don't need to spend more time outlining plots.
I don't need to spend more time daydreaming about characters and their outlandish schemes.
I don't need to read more, because really, I'm not sure that'd even be possible unless I quit my job.
I just need to type.
Writers don't necessarily need to complete and publish manuscripts. They just need to move words from internal monologue to paper or virtual paper.
To be a writer, I just need to spend 5 minutes a day doing this. And, because it feels good, that should be enough.
